It was love at first sight with this scribble rayon fabric from The Fabric Store. I took it home not knowing that it would become an Adeline Dress. Fortunately I had enough fabric remaining that I could also make a Peppermint Magazine Peplum!

Ninni Culottes plus some
These Ninni Culottes from Named Clothing got so much wear this summer while traveling in Europe. I’m such a messy person (dropping food all the time, flopping down on grass without any regard for my pants, etc.) that I was certain that cream coloured pants were not for me!
Ethel Designer Top
These Ethel Designer Top from StyleArc (which I purchased as a set) isn’t something that I wear all that often. I made the top well before I’d sewn any high-waisted pants, so it was a touch too short for me to enjoy wearing it with my jeans, and so it got pushed to the back… Continue reading Ethel Designer Top
Floral Montrose top
This Montrose Top from Cashmerette is going to be a Tried-n-True pattern in my wardrobe, I can feel it in my bones! I bought this fabric as a remnant from Nerida Hansen in Australia. It sat in my stash for quite a while because it was a much thinner cotton than I had anticipated, and… Continue reading Floral Montrose top
Sapporo Coat
This Sapporo Coat from Papercut Patterns is one of my biggest sewing regrets, that I’m resolved to turn into a sewing win! I’m quite a way outside of the Papercut Patterns maximum hip size of 46.5″ (close to 10″ inches away), and because I loved the coat so much I got in touch with the… Continue reading Sapporo Coat
Ethel Designer Pants
These Ethel Designer Pant from StyleArc (which I purchased as a set) sat in my ‘almost finished’ sewing box for over a year, after I deemed them not very successful. After some unsuccessful purchases from them (back when they didn’t include finished garment measurements), I try to be quite savvy about picking patterns where it… Continue reading Ethel Designer Pants
Brown & blue Springfield Top
Buying this Springfield Top pattern from Cashmerette was something I sat on for ages. It seemed too simple to purchase. Not that I have any skills making my own patterns, but I suppose I just thought I should be able to make do.
Scribble Peplum top
This Peplum top is a free plus size sewing patterns for beginners from in Peppermint Magazine in Australia and is drafted by the lovely Emily from In The Folds. I had enough fabric leftover from my Scribble Rayon Adeline to make the peplum with an extra long frill, which makes it long enough to style… Continue reading Scribble Peplum top
Rose Dress from Schnittchen
This Rose Dress from Schnittchen is the first dress I ever made! I had signed up for night-school sewing classes not far from my house and since I had read the Curvy Sewing Collective for years before I knew it would be tough to find patterns in my size. So, like always, I’d done a… Continue reading Rose Dress from Schnittchen
Pineapple Adeline Dress
This was my first StyleArcAdeline, in a lovely black linen with a not-quite-evenly-printed pineapple pattern in white. I was inspired to make this after seeing some gorgeous versions from Meg, and Lara of Thornberry (I also love this amazing version made by Lara for her mum).
Optical Illusion Adeline
This was my 4th Adeline dress from StyleArc, and I’m still not sure that I’m done with this pattern.
Rivermont Peplum in black ponte
I’ve made so.many.versions of Cashmerette‘s Rivermont Dress & Peplum pattern. I got this black ponte from Tessuti in Australia. And was only able to make both a peplum and dress from this black fabric with some serious pattern tetris work.
Rivermont Dress in black ponte
I’ve made so.many.versions of Cashmerette‘s Rivermont Dress & Peplum pattern. I got this black ponte from Tessuti in Australia. And was able to make both a peplum and dress from this black fabric by playing pattern tetris with the fabric.
Lacey Dress from StyleArc
This Lacey Dress from StyleArc is lovely, but hard to find online. As you can imagine, typing ‘lacey dress’ gets you an awful lot of lace dresses and the hashtags are all a mess too. If you’re reading this StyleArc, hire me and I’ll fix your hashtags!
Zero-Waste Jacket from Elbe
I made this linen duster-ish jacket using Elbe Textile‘s free tutorial for making a zero-waste jacket. I love the idea of zero-waste sewing since it saves me from hoarding linen scraps for years and I suppose it’s also good for the environment.
Rushcutter Hack Dress
This hack of the Rushcutter dress from In The Folds was inspired by this apron tutorial from The Fabric Store.
StyleArc Susan Top
This StyleArc Susan Top was an easy sew, and I think I got the pattern for free as a StyleArc monthly giveaway.
Linen Kochi
This Kochi from Papercut Patterns is sewn up in delicious mustard linen from The Fabric Store. I drastically increased the size of this everywhere because I wanted something wearable, cozy and that doubled as a rug for grass protection.
Grey Rivermont Peplum
I’ve made so.many.versions of Cashmerette‘s Rivermont Dress & Peplum pattern. I got this grey ponte from Tessuti in Australia. I had enough fabric to make a peplum, and I’ve also made a currently unfinished Rivermont skirt!
